I am a founding member of AMA and its first secretary and have volunteered for AMA since its inception. I have been a member of the Board of Directors and the Immigration Committee during the 2019-2020 term. I was born and raised in Argentina and moved to Canada in 1983. I am a certified Canadian educator with over 25 years of experience. I taught the Manitoba high school French Immersion Program for more than 10 years. I am recently retired from my role as Coordinator of Media Production and Web Technologies at the Manitoba Department of Education, where I managed programs and projects to provide support and services to educators and students in the areas of curriculum, alternate formats, educational video production and web technologies. Through this volunteer position, I wish to help AMA's members to continue to pursue the altruistic goals of the Association, namely: support the Argentinean-Manitoban community, promote and preserve its heritage, strengthen links to other ethnic communities, and support Argentineans who wish to immigrate to Manitoba. I bring to this position my experience as a Manitoba educator and a Manitoba civil servant with demonstrated knowledge of the Manitoba School System and government processes and procedures.
