Due to the large number of Argentines who contact us and choose the path of study to continue their professional development in Manitoba, from AMA we want to accompany them at this stage.

 

Although AMA cannot intervene with the study visa process and / or applications with the chosen educational institution, AMA’s network of volunteers and community members can clarify doubts and provide recommendations to make your arrival and establishment in Winnipeg easier.

 

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive.

 

Can I apply to the Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO) as an international student?

No. The SWO is only for people outside of Canada. Once you graduate in Manitoba you could apply to other current programs such as:

Can my spouse work?

 

In general, as long as you maintain your international student status, the spouse / partner is eligible to obtain a work permit.

Can my children go to school if I am an international student?
